FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST, ARE one God.

1

Though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many) yet to us there is but one God the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him; and one Spirit, by whom, through Christ, we have access unto the Father.

2

There are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.

3 As the Father sent the Son, so when he went away, he sent the Comforter from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father; whom the Father sent in the name of his Son; and who is likewise the Spirit of his Son.

All nations are taught and baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

5 Those that are called to be saints are elect, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.

6

In Christ we are built together for an habitation of God, through the Spirit.

And the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, will be with all the saints.

THE STATE OF MAN BY REDEMPTION.

WITH RESPECT TO KNOWLEDGE.

2.

God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath now shined in our hearts; and called us out of darkness into his marvellous light. For we that before had our understanding darkened, and were alienated from the life of God, through the ignorance that was in us, have now received the knowledge of the truth. Unto us it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.

. Now is made manifest to all nations the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, even the hidden wisdom of God, which he ordained before the world unto our glory, and which none of the princes of this world knew, For now we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and be in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

* The times of ignorance God winked at, but now he commandeth all men every where to repent; because the day-spring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death; to give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins; and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

* Jesus is the true light which lighteth every

man that cometh into the world. Whosoever believeth on him, and followeth him, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

In every thing we are enriched by him, in all utterance and in all knowledge; the eyes of our understanding being enlightened, that we may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe.

· If any have not the knowledge of God now, it is to their shame. For all may know the Lord from the least to the greatest; the only-begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

By the Gospel of Christ, which is come unto us, as it is in all the world, and wherein we have been instructed, we may increase in the knowledge of God, and be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

The new man, which we put on when we are risen with Christ, is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.

If we continue in his word we shall know thie truth, and the truth shall make us free.

He hath assured us, that all manner of sins shall be forgiven unto men, if they repent and believe the Gospel

Jesus Christ hath brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel.

1 The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him ; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned; but he that is spiritual judgeth all things.

The preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us that are saved, it is the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

* I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.

Through the name of Jesus Christ, whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins : in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace, wherein he hath abounded towards us.

- God having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless us, in turning away every one of us from his iniquities.

6 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might take away our sins; destroy the works of the devil; and turn us from the power of Satan unto God.

Our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of

sin is the law; but thanks be to God who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood cleanseth us from all sin.

By Jesus Christ the Son of God, all that believe are justified from all things, from which they could not be justified by the law of Moses.

? As by the offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation: even so by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

* But not as the offence so also is the free gift : for if through the offence of one, many be dead; much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many; and the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit: for God is the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus; to whom his faith is counted for righteousness; and that freely by the grace of God, through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ.

5 Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: and we, that were sometime alienated, and enemies in our mind by wicked works, are reconciled to God by the death of his Son, by whom we have now received the atonement.

As by one man's disobedience many were made sinners; so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
