like not the Popish Diftinction between Venial and Mortal Sin, as if fome deserved only Temporal, others Eternal Punishments; or as if any Sin was Venial in its own Na

tùre.

Yet it is plain, fome Sins are greater than others, Job. xix. 11. Luke xii, 47..

But no Sin is in it felf Little or Venial, without Mercy in Chrift. For the leaft Sin, 1. Tranfgreffeth the Law, napría ǹ a'voula. 2. Offendeth God.

4. Sins against Solemn Vows and Promises, fuch as are made in Baptifm, Heb. vi. 4, 6. 5. Wilful, prefumptuous and deliberate Sins, Heb. X. 26. 1 John v. 16. Sins unto Death, fuch as Men continue in.

6. Against Mercies and Judgments, Matt. xi. 21, 22.

III. What are the Effects and Confequences of Sin? Very fad and dismal.
