every name that is named, not only in this World, but also in that which is to come; and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things, to the Church. Phil. ii. 2. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a Name which is above every name.

Q. What doth he there?

A. Make interceffion for us, Rom. viji. 34. Who is be that condemneth, it is Christ that died, yea rather risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. i John ii, I. My little Children, these things write I unto you, that je fin not, and if any man fin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteousHeb, vii. 25. Wherefore be is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing be ever liveth to make interceffion for us. 1 Tim. 11. s. For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jefus. John xiv. 13. And whatsoever ye mall ask in my Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Q. Why is the Father Almighty here added ?

A. To shew that Christ can now do what he will for us, Matth. xxviii. 18. And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. John X. 29. My Father which gave them me, is greater then all ; and none is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Aas v. 31. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and u Saviour, for to give Repentance to Ifrael, and forgiveness of Sins.

& What follows hence?

A. 1. That we trust on him, Rom. viii. 33, 38, 39. Who Mall lay any thing to the charge of God's clect ? It is God that juftifieth. For I am perswaded


that neither death, mor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor beight, nor depth, nor any other creature, fall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2. And Worship him, Folin v. 22, 23. For the Faiber judgeth no man; but bath committed all judgment unto the Son; that all men should bonour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honouretb not the Son, bonoureth not tbe Father which bath sent him. Heb. i. 6. And again, when he bringetb'in the first begotten into the World, be faith, and let all the Angels of God worship

2. How will he come?

A. With the Holy Angels attending him ? Matth. xxv. 31. When the Son of Man fall come in bis glory with all the holy Angels with bim, then ball be fit upon the Tbrone of his glory. i Theff. iv. 16. For the Lord himself ball defcend from heaven with a sout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Cbrist ball rise first. 2 Theff. i, 7. And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus hall be revealed from beaven, with his mighty Angels. Matth. xxvi. 64. Jefus faith unto bim, Thou hast said: Nevertheless, I say unto you, hereafter fall ye see the Son of Man fitting on the right band of power, and coming in the clouds of beaven.

2. What shall they do?

A. Gather his Elect and all Mankind before him, Matth. xxiv. 31. And he shall send bis Angels with a great found of a Trumpet, and they shall gather together bis elezt from the four winds, from one end of beaven to the other. Matth. xxv. 32. And before him fall be gathered all Nations ; and he sball separate them one from another, as a hepberd divideth his fbeep from the goats.

9. What will he then do ?

A. Judge all, 2 Cor. y. JO. For we must all appear before the Judgment-feat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in bis body, according to that he hath done, whether. it be good or bad. Matth. XXV. 34, 41, 46. Then all the King say unto them on bis right hand, come ye blejled of my Father, inkeris the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundati.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment : but the righterus into life eternal. Acts X. 42. And be commanded us' to preach unto the people, and to testifie that it is be which was ordained of God to be the fudge of quick and dead.

Q. Who are the quick and dead?

A. They who shall be then alive, and all that were before dead, i Thef. iv. 15, 16, 17. Fir this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive, and remain unto ike coming of the Lord, hall not prevent then which are asleep. For the Lord himself skall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Chrift shall rise first. Then we wekich are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. I Cor. xv. 'S1. Behold, I sew you a Mystestery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

Q. What do ye mean by the Holy Ghost?

Q. Why called a Ghost?

A. That is a Spirit, John iv. 24. God is a Spirit, and they that worship hin, must worship him in Spirit and in truth.

2. Why Holy?

A. Because the Fountain and Author of Holiness in us, I Cor. vi. 11. And such were some of you : but ye are washed, but ye are fan&tified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jea fus, and by the Spirit of our God. Tit, iii. s. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy be saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Gboft. John iii. 5, 6. Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water, and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. Tbat which is born of the flesh, is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit, is

Q. How do ye prove him to be God?

A. Acts v. 3; 4. But Peter said, Ananias, why bath Satan filled thine heart, to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land; wbiles it remained, was it not thine own, and after it was sold, was it not in thine opon power ; why hast thou conceived this thing in thine beart, thou hast not lied unto men but unto God. 1 Cor. iii. 16. Know ye not that ye are the tem. ple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in gaul. Matth. xii. 31. Wberofore. I say unto you, all manner of fin and blafphemy ball be forgiven unto men : but the blafphemy against the Holy Ghaft fvall not be forgiven unto mon.
