186. Perfections of God.
The God that built the skies, 1 The Lord Jehovah reigns;
And earth and nature made: His throne is built on high ;
God is the tower to which I fly;
His grace is nigh in every hour
Nor blasts of evening air,
Shall take my health away, 2 And can this mighty King
If God be with me there. Of glory condescend ?
Thou art my sun, and thou my shade, And will he write his My Father and my Friend?
To guard my head by night or noon. I love his name, I love his word: Join, all my powers, and praise the Lord. 3 Hast thou not given thy word,
To save my soul from death? 187.

Whate'er thy will decrees is done;

Justice and truth before thee stand;
Love ever dwells at thy right hand. 4 And to thy love, and ceaseless care,
Father, this light, this breath, we owe;

Some feature of the Deity.
But in its gloom I trace thy love,
Thy touch shall make all bright again. 3 The heavens, the earth, where'er I look,
Shall be one pure and shining book,
The glories of thy wondrous name. 192.
Divine Protection. Ps. 121. 1 Up to the hills I lift my eyes,
The eternal hills beyond the skies :
There my Almighty Refuge lives. 2 He lives, the everlasting God,
That built the world, that spread the flood; The heavens with all their hosts he mado,
And the dark regions of the dead. 3 He guides our feet, he guards our way;
His morning smiles bless all the day;
God in all.
I There's nothing bright, above, below, From flowers that bloom to stars that
