Moses miracles. Chap. vii. viii. Water turn'd to blood 28 And it came to pass on the day they may ferve me in the wilderness: and when the LORD spake unto Mofes in the behold, hitherto thou wouldeft not hear. land of Egypt, 29 That the Lord spake unto Mofes, faying, I am the Lord, speak thou unto Pha rach king of Egypt ally I say unto thee. 30 And Motes faid before the Lord, Behold, I am of uncircumcifed lips, and how fhall Pharaoh hearken unto me? CHAP VII. 1 M Ses is encouraged to go to Pharaob, And the Lora 2 Thou shalt speak all that 1 command thee, and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he fend the children of Ifrael out of his land. 3. And I will harden Pharaohs heart, and multiply my figns and my wonders in the land of Egypt. 4 But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Ifrael, out of the land of Egypt by great judgements. 5 And the Egyptians shall know, that I amthe LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Ifrael from among them. 6 And Mofes and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, to did they. 7. And Mofes was fourscore yearsold, and Aaron fourfcore and three years old when they spake unto Pharaoh. 8 And the LORD spake unto Mofes, and unto Aaron, saying, . 9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, faying, Shew a miracle for you, then thou shalt lay unto Aaron, Take thy rod and salt it before Pharaoh, and it hall become a ferpent. 17 Thus faith the LORD, in this thou fhalt know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite withy rod that is in mine hand, upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. 18 And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall think: and the Egyptians shall loath to drink of the water of the river. 19 And Lord spake unto Moles, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, & upon all their pools of water they may become blood; & that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in veffel sof wood, & in vessels of ftone.. 20 And Motes, and Aaron did fo, as the LORD commanded: and he lift up the rod and fmote the waters that were in § river, in the fight of Pharaoh, and in the fight of his servants: and all the waters that were in the river, were turned to blood. 21 And the fish that was in the river, died: and the river stunk, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river: andthere was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. 22 And the magicians of Egypt did fo with their inchantments: and Pharaohs heart was hardened, neither did he heark en unto them: as the LORD had faid. 23 And Pharaoh turned and went unto his house, neither did he fet his heart to thisallo. 24 Andall the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink: for they could not drink of the water of the river. 25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had finitten the river. CHAP. VIII. Frogsaresent. 16 The dust turned into lice. 23 The Swarms of flies. 32 Pharaob is hardened. to And Mofes and Aaron went in had cominanded; and Aaron cast down his unto Pharaohs and they did fo as the LORDANd the LORD spake unto Moses, Go tod before Pharaoh, and before his fervants, and it became a ferpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wifemen and the forcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they alfo did in like manner with their inchantments. 12 For they caft down every man his rod, and they became ferpents: But Aarons rod swallowed up their rods. 13. And he hardened Pharaohs heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Aunto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus faith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may ferve me. 2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I wil smite all thy borders with frogs 3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up, and come into thine houte, & into thy bed-chamber, and upon thy bed, & into the house of thy fervants, and upon thy people, & into thine ovens, and into thy kneading-troughs. 4 And the frogs thall come both on thee, cupon thy people, cupon all thy fervants Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the 15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morn-rivers, and over the ponds, and cause ing, lo, he goeth out unto the water, and frogs to come upon the land of Egypt. thou shalt stand by rivers brink againft 6 And Aaronftretched out his hand over he come and the rod which was turned to the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came a ferpent shalt thou take in thine hand. up, and covered the land of Egypt. 1. TI And the frogs shall depart from thee, & from thy houses, and from thy forvants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river onely. the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as he shalt command us. 28 And Pharaoh faid, I will let you go, that ye may facrifice to the LORD your God, in the wilderness: onely you thall not govery far away: intreat for me. 29 And Mofes faid, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD 12 And Mofes and Aaron went out from the warns of flies may depart from PharaPharaoh, and Mofes cried unto the LORD, oh, from his fervants, and from his peobecause of the frogs which he had ple, tomorrow: but let not Pharaoh deal brought againft Pharaoh. 13. And the LORD did according to the word of Mofes: and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields. 14 And they gathered them together upon heaps, and the land stank. 15 But when Pharaoh faw that there was refpite, he hardened his heart, && hearkened not unto them, as the LORD had faid. 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the duit of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt. deceitfully any more, in not letting the people go to facrifice to the LORD. 30 And Mofes went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD. 31 And the LORD did according to the word of Mofes, and he removed swarms offies from Pharaoh, from his fervants, & from his people: there remained not one. 32 And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go. Hen the LORD faid usto Mofes, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus faith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may ferve me. 17 And they did fo: for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the duft of earth, and it became lice, in man and in beaft: all the duft of the landbecame lice throughout all land of Egypt. 2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and 18 And the magicians did fo with their wilt hold them still: inchantments to bring forth lice, but they 3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upcould not: fo there were lice upon man, on thy cattell which is in the field, upon and upon beaft. the horses, upon the affes, upon the ca there shall be a very grievous murrain. 19 Then the magicians faid unto Pha-mels, upon the oxen, and upon the theep: raoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaohs heart was hardened, and he hearken- 4 And the LORD shall fever between the cattel of Ifrael, and the cattell of Egypt, and there shall nothing die of all that is the childrens of Ifrael. 5. I know 13 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Rife up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus faith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my peoplego, that they may ferve me. 14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy fervants, and upon thy people: that thou mayeft know that there is none like me in all the earth. 15 For now I will stretch out my handy I that ye will not yet fear the LORD God, 31 And the flax and the barley was finitten: forthe barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled: 32 But the wheat and therie were not smitten: for they were not grown up. 33 And Mofes went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread abroad his hands unte the LORD: & the thunders and hail ceased. & the rain was not poured upon the earth. 34 And when Pharaoh faw that the rain, may (mite thee and thy people with pefti- and the hail, and the thunders were ceaf lence, & thou shalt be cut off from earth. ed, he finned yet more and hardened his 16 And in very deed for this cause have heart, he and his fervants. Χ. 17 As yet exaltest thou thy felfagainst my people that thou will not let them go? 18 Behold, to morrow about this time, I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, fuch as hath not been in Egypt, fince the foundation thereof, even untill now. 19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattel, and all that thou hast in the field: for upon every man and beaft which shall be found in the field and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die. 20 He that feared the word of the Lord amongst the fervants of Pharaoh made his fervants, & his cattel flee into the houses, 21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD, left his fervants and his cattel in the field. 22 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beaft, and up on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt. 23 And Mofes stretched forth his rod toward heaven, and the LORD fent thunder and hail, and the fire ranatong upon the grounds and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. 12 The plague of locusts: 21 of darkness. 27 Pharaobs bardness. Ne the LORD faid unto Mofes, Goin hunto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his fervants; that I might shew these my figns before him. 2 And that then mayeft tell in the ears of thy fon, and of thy fons fon, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my figne which I have done amongst them: that yo may know how that I am the LORD. 3 And Mofes and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh and faid unto him, Thus faith the LORD God of Hebrews How long wilt thou refuse to humble thy felf before me? Let my people gosthar they may ferve me. 4 Eife if thou refufe to let my people go, go, behold, to morrow will I bring the focufts into thy coaft, 5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to fee the earth; and they shalleat the refidue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail; and shalleat every tree which groweth for you out of the field. 6 And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of allthy fervants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers fathers have feen, 24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail very grievous, fuch as there fince the day that they were upon the was none like it in all the land of Egypt, earth, unto this day. CHAP. XII. The passover inftituted. 31 The Ifraelites are driven out of the land. 23 They saw not one another, neitherts rofe any from his place for three days but all the children of Ifrael hadlight in 3 their dwellings, 24 And Pharaoh called unto Mofes, and faid, Go yes ferve the LORD onely let your Racks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones alfo go with you, 25 And Mofes faid Thou must give us o facrifices, and burnt-offerings, y we may lacrifice unto the LORD our God. 26. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the monath at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, untill the one and twentieth day of the moneth at even. 31 And he called for Mofes and Aaron by night, and faid, Rife up, and get you forth from amongit my people, bout you and the children of Ifrael: and go, ferve the LORD, as ye have faid. 32 Alfo take your flocks and your herds, as ye have faid: & be gone, & blefs me alto. 33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might fend them out of the land in hafte for they laid, We bealldead men. 34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes, upon their shoulders. 35.
