Chap. xxxi.

The anointing oyl. 17 And the LORD ipake unto Mofes, faying,

18 Thou shalt alfo make a laver ofbrafs, and his foot alfo of brafs, to wash witball, and thou fhalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.

19 For Aaron and his fons fhall wash their hands, and their feet thereat. 20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they fhail wash with water, they die not or when they come near to the altar to minifter, to burn an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

21 So they fhall wash their hands, and their feet,that they die not:and it fhall be a flatute for ever to them, even to him, and to his feed throughout their generations. 22 Moreover, the LORD ipake unto Mofes, faying,

23 Takethou alfo unto thee principal fpices, of pure myrrhefive hundred shekels, and of fweet cinamon halt fo much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of (weet calamus two hundred and fifty heels, 24 And of caffia five hundred fbekels after the thekel ofthe fanctuary, and of oyl-olive au hin.

25 And thou shalt make it an oyl of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it fhall be an holy anointing oyl,

27 And the table and all his veffels, and the candlestick and his veffels, and the altar of incenfe,

28 And the altar of burnt-offering with all his veffels, and the laver and his foot. 29 And thou shalt fanctify them, that they may be molt holy: whatsoever toucheth them, fhall be holy.

30 And thou fhalt anoint Aaron & his fons, and confecrate them, that they may minifter unto me in the priests office.

31 And thou shalt freak unto the childre of Ifrael, faying, This fhall be an holy anointing oyl unto me throughout you generations,

32 Upo mans efh fhall it not be poured neither thall ye make any other like it, after the compolition of it: it is holy, and it fhall be holy unto you.

33 Wholoever compounde h any like it, or wholoever putte h any of it upon a ftranger, fhall even be cut off from his people,

37 And as for the perfume which thou fhalt make, you fhall not make to your felvs according to the compofition thereof: it fhall be unto thee holy for y LORD. 38 Whofoever fhall make like unto that, to finell thereto, fhall even be cut off from his people.

2 See, I have called by name, Bezaleel the fon of Uri,the fon of Hur,of the tribe of Judah:

3 And I have filled him with the fpirit of God, in wildom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.

4 To devife cunning works, to work in gold, and in filver, and in brafs,

5 And in cutting of ftones to fet thems and in carving of timber to work in all manner of workmanship.

6 And 1, behold, I have given with him Aholiab thefon of Ahifaniach of the tribe of Dan, and in the hearts of all that are wife-hearted I have put wildom that they may make all y I have commanded thee.

8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candleltick with all his furni ture, and the altar of incenfe:

9 And the altar of burnt-offering wall his furniture, and the laver and his foot:

10 And the clothes of fervice, and the 'holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his fons, to minifter in the priests office:

11 Obferve thou that which I command thee this day: Behold, I drive out before thee the Ame.ite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebuite.

12 Take heed to thy felf, leaft thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goeft, leaft it be for a fnare in the midit of thee.

13 But ye shall deftroy their altars,break their images, and cut down their groves. 14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD whofe name is JeaTous, is a jealous God:


15 Lealt thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do facrifice unto their gods, and one call thee and thou eat of his facrifice..

25 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my facrifice with leaven, neither shall the facrifice of the fealt of passover be left unto the morning.

26 The firit of the first-fruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the houfe of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not feeth a kid in his mothers milk.

27 And he LORD faid unto Mofes, Write thou there words: for after the te nour of thefe words I have made a cove nant with thee and with Ifrael.

28 And he was there with the LORD fourty days and fourty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water: aud he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. 29 And it came to pafs when Mofes came down from mount Sinai (with the two tables of teltimony in Mofes hand, when he came down from the mount) that Mofes wilt not that the skin of his facefhone, while he talked with him.

30 And when Aaron and all the children of Ifrael faw Mofes,behold, the skin of his face fhone, and they were afraid to come nigh him.

31 And Mofes called unto them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congrega tion returned unto him; and Mofes talk ed with them.


32 And afte ward all the children of Ifrael came nigh and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had fpoken with him in mouat Sinai

33 And till Moles had done fpeaking with them, he put a vail on his face.

34 But when Mofes went in before the LORD to fpeak with him, hetook the vail off, untill he came out: And he came out and fake unto the children of Ifrael,ttat which he was commanded.

35 And the children of Ifrael law face of Mofes,y the ski of Mofes face fhone: and Mofes put the vail upon his face again untill he went in to fpeak with him, CHAP. XXXV.

And Mofes gathered all the congregation of the child ea of lirael toge ther, and faid unto them, Thefe are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye fhould do them.

28 And fpice,& oil for the light,&for the anointing oil, and for the fweet incenfe. 29 The children of Ifrael brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman whofe heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made, by the hand of Moles.

30 And Mofes faid unto the children of Ifrael, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the ion of Uri, the fun of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

18 The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

33 And in the cutting of tones to let them, and in carving of wood to make any manner of cunning work.

34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he and Aholiab the fon of Ahifamach of the tribe of Dan.

35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of works of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue,& in purPle, in fcarlet, and in fine linen, & of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of thote that devife cunning work.
