C.M. COME ye that know and fear the Lord,
And raise your thoughts above ; · Let every heart and voice accord
To sing that—"God is love."
And all His mercies prove;
To shew that God is love."
With those who from Him rove; Till mighty grace their hearts subdues, • To teach them—"God is love." 4 The work begun is carried on
By power from heaven above ;
Declares that—"God is love." 5 O may we all, while here below,
This best of blessings prove ;
Proclaim that—"God is love."
First streamed upon the new-born
And fill our souls with Light divine. 2 This day the Saviour left the grave,
And rose, omnipotent to save ;-
3 This day the Holy Spirit came
With fiery tongues of cloven flame;
From earthly toils sweet resting place!
By the pow'r Thy gospel wields— Bounteous land, where balmy breezes Fans our earth's most fertile fields ;
Christ's salvation Freedom full, and lasting yields. 3 Ocean's isles, and wealthy India
Western lands, where satan reigns ; Rescue from the tyrant's thraldom, Burst their bands, and break their chains;
Gracious Spirit ! Let the sin-born captive free. 4 Holy Ghost, the night dispelling,
Rise with healing on Thy wings-

287. The Communion of Saints. C.M. THE saints on earth, and those above,

289. Revelations XV. 3. AWAKE and sing the song
• Of Moses and the Lamb; Wake every heart and every tongue
To praise the Saviour's name. 2 Sing of His dying love ;
Sing of His rising power;
For those whose sins He bore. 3 Sing till we feel the heart
Ascending with the tongue :
And grace inspire the song. 4 Sing on your heavenly way,
Ye ransomed sinners sing ;
In Christ, th' eternal king. 5 Soon shall ye hear Him say
“Ye blessed children come"Soon will He call us hence away,
And take His pilgrims home. 6 Soon shall th' enraptur'd tongue
His endless praise proclaim,
Of Moses and the Lamb !
