And 63 Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the even-tide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she 64 lighted off the camel. For she had said unto the servant, What 65 man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? and the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done. 66 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took 67

And he (Haman) wrote in king Ahasuerus' name, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by posts on horseback, and riders on mules, camels, and young dromedaries. So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. Es. viii. 10. 14.

I will remember the works of the Lord; surely I will remember thy wonders of old. I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings. Ps. lxxvii. 11, 12. My meditation of " him" ("the Lord") shall be sweet. Ps. civ. 34. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. Ps. cxix. 15. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God; how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with

thee. Ps. cxxxix. 17, 18. I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands: I stretch forth my hands unto thee; my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Ps. cxliii. 5, 6.

64 She lighted off the camel.] And it came to pass, as she (Achish, the daughter of Caleb) came unto him (Othniel, to whom her father gave her as wife, for smiting Kirjath-sepher), that she moved him to ask of her father a field. Ge. xx. 16. Be ye followers of me (Paul), even as I also am of Christ. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered, dishonoureth her head; for that is even all one as if she were shaven: for if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For this cause ought a woman to have power on her head, because of the angels. 1 Co. xi. 1. 5, 6. 10. I will therefore that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety. 1 Ti. ii. 9.

Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord. And took Rebekah.] See chap. ii. 22. 24.

and com. Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly, and indeed bear with me; for I am jealous over you with godly jealousy; for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 Co. xi. 1, 2. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
