The rich inheritance of heav'n
Your joy, your boaft is freely giv❜n ;
Fair Salem your arrival waits,
With golden ftreets and pearly gates.
5 Her blefs'd inhabitants no more,
Bondage and poverty deplore;
No debt, but love immenfely great,
The joy fill rifes with the debt.
6 O happy fouls that know the found?
Celeftial light their steps furround,
And fhew that jubilee begun,
Which thro' eternal years fhall run.

HYMN CXVII. P. M.

JOHN MURRAY.]

All in All.

OME, tho' we can truly fing,

In our fleth dwells no good thing;
Yet on him who gives us all,
We're embolden'd ftill to call.

2 Blind, and foolish once were we,
Chrift our wifdom now we fee ;
In this wisdom, we confide,
By this, we are justifi'd.

3 Once in breaking God's command,
Doom'd to death beneath his hand;
Now we're call'd to own and bless,
Jefus Chrift, our righteousness.
4 Without purity of heart
Truth divine will fay depart,
But this holiness we find,
In the Saviour of mankind.

5 Many, mighty are our foes!
Human thefe, angelic thofe,
Where for refuge hall we flee?
Christ our great redemption fee!
6 Seraphs, flames of facred firs,
View this myty with defire;
Hark! the bright enraptur'd throng
Catch, and raife the grateful fong.
7Oye thrones of heav'nly light,
Since you're fav'd from endless night,
And fince we are rais'd to you,
Let us ftill the fong pursue.

HYMN CXVIII. L. N. [RICHARDS.]

HAIL, Alpha and Omega, hail!

From first to last, from last to first,

One grand, confiftent, perfect whole,
Is thine, thou head of ev'ry man.

HYMN CXIX. L. M. [RICHARDS.]

FAITHFUL and true, the Man divine
On ev'ry promife ftamps Amen.

Nor e're fhall fail a fingle line,
Engrav'd by love's eternal pen.

2 "Let man be fav'd," the Father faid:
"So be it," Jefus, Jefus cried :

Nay more, the Saviour bow'd his head:
That man might live, Chrift Jefus died,
3 Amen of God! Amen of man!
Beginning! Author! final End!
High praise await Salvation's plan,
There one Amen for all is pen'd.

HYMN CXX. s. M. [RICHARDS.]
Baptizer with the Holy Spirit and Fire.
I JESUS, in ancient days,

Thine Ifr'el faw the flame

From heav'n defcend, to vifit earth,
And prais'd thy glorious name.

2 Give us to join their fong,
To hail thee, ever good;

And mid the fire, may we adore,
Th' unchanging, gracious God.
3 Thy fan fhall purge the floor':
Thy fire, the chaff destroy :

And gath'ring of the cleanfed wheat,
Thy sheaves fhall fing for joy.

From everlasting was the word :

With God he was; the word was God,
And mult divinely be ador'd."

2 By his own pow'r were all things made,
By him fupported all things fland;
He is the whole creation's head,
And angels fly at his command.

Ere fin was born, or Satan fell,
He led the hot of morning stars;
Thy generation who can tell,

Or count the number of thy years?

4 But lo, he leaves thofe heav'nly forms,
The Word defcends and dwells in clay,
That he may hold converfe with worms,
Drefs'd in fuch feeble fleth as they.
Mortals with joy behold his face,
Th' eternal Father's only Son;
How full of truth! how full of grace!
When thro' his eyes the Godhead fhone!

Archangels leave their high abode,
To learn new myft'ries here; and tell
The love of our defcending God,
The glories of Immanuel.

HYMN CXXIII. C. M. [DODDRIDGE.]
Door.

AWAKE, our fouls, and bless his name,

Whofe mercies never fall;

Who opens wide a door of hope
In Achor's gloomy vale.

2 Behold the portal wide difplay'd,
The building ftrong and fair;
Within are paftures fresh and green,
And living ftreams are there.

3 Enter, my foul, with cheerful haste,
For Jefas is the door ;

Nor fear the ferpent's 'wily arts,
Nor fear the lion's roar.

4 Omay thy grace the nations lead,
And Jews and Gentiles come,

All trav'lling thro' one beauteous gate
To oné eternal home.

HYMN CXXIV. C. M. [YAMES RELLY.]

HAI

Eternity and Deity of Chrift.

AIL high, exalted righteous man,
First of the ways of God!

Whofe work of love in thee begun,

A's witnefs'd by thy blood:
