O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For with the Lord there is mercy,
And with him is plenteous redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel
From all his iniquities.

PSALM CXXXV

In the day that I called thou answer-
edst me,

In the courts of the house of our God.
Praise
ye the Lord; for the Lord is good:
Sing praises unto his name; for it is
pleasant.

For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself,

And Israel for his peculiar treasure.

For I know that the Lord is great, And that our Lord is above all gods. Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that hath he done,

In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

Who dwelleth at Jerusalem.
PRAISE YE The Lord.

For thou hast magnified thy word above
all thy name.

PSALM CXXXVIII

I will give thee thanks with my whole heart:

Before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.

I will worship toward thy holy temple,

And art acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue,
But, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it alto-
gether.

Thou hast beset me behind and before,

Such knowledge is too wonderful for Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O me;

God:

It is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art
there:

Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.

For they speak against thee wickedly,

And thine enemies take thy name in vain.

If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.

Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee?

I hate them with perfect hatred:
I count them mine enemies.

If I say, Surely the darkness shall
overwhelm me,

And the light about me shall be

Even the darkness hideth not from thee,
But the night shineth as the day:

The darkness and the light are both
alike to thee.

For thou hast possessed my reins :
Thou hast covered me in my mother's
womb.

I will give thanks unto thee; for I
am fearfully and wonderfully
made:

PSALM CXLIII

Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my supplications:

In thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

And enter not into judgment with thy servant;

For in thy sight shall no man living be
justified.

I remember the days of old;
I meditate on all thy doings:

PSALM CXLV

I will extol thee, my God, O King;
And I will bless thy name for ever
and ever.

Every day will I bless thee;

And I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised;

And his greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall laud thy works to another,

And shall declare thy mighty acts. Of the glorious majesty of thine honour, And of thy wondrous works, will I medi

tate.

But all the wicked will he destroy.

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise the Lord, O my soul.

While I live will I praise the Lord :

Who prepareth rain for the earth,

Whose hope is in the Lord his God:

down ;

The Lord loveth the righteous;

The Lord preserveth the strangers; He upholdeth the fatherless and widow ; But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

PSALM CXLVII

Praise ye the Lord;

For it is good to sing praises unto our
God;

For it is pleasant, and praise is comely.

The Lord doth build up Jerusalem ;
He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
He healeth the broken in heart,
And bindeth up their wounds.
He telleth the number of the stars;
He giveth them all their names.

Great is our Lord, and mighty in
power;

Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiv
ing;

Sing praises upon the harp unto our
God:

The Lord shall reign for ever,

Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. He maketh peace in thy borders;

PRAISE YE THE LORD.

His understanding is infinite.
The Lord upholdeth the meek :
He bringeth the wicked down to the

ground.

He giveth to the beast his food,

And to the young ravens which cry.

He delighteth not in the strength of the horse :

He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a

man.

The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him,

In those that hope in his mercy.
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem;
Praise thy God, O Zion.

For he hath strengthened the bars of
thy gates;

He hath blessed thy children within thee.

He filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

He sendeth out his commandment upon earth;

His word runneth very swiftly.

He giveth snow like wool;

He scattereth the hoar frost like ashes.
He casteth forth his ice like mor-

sels :

Who can stand before his cold?

He sendeth out his word, and melteth them:

He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

He sheweth his word unto Jacob,
His statutes and his judgments unto
Israel.

He hath not dealt so with any nation :
And as for his judgments, they have not
known them.

PRAISE YE THE LORD.

PSALM CXLVIII

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise ye the Lord from the heavens:
Praise him in the heights.
Praise ye him, all his angels:
Praise ye him, all his host.

Praise ye him, sun and moon:
Praise him, all ye stars of light.
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens,
And ye waters that be above the heavens.
Let them praise the name of the
Lord:

For he commanded, and they were created.

He hath also stablished them for ever and ever:

Fire and hail, snow and vapour;
Stormy wind, fulfilling his word:
Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars :

not pass away. Praise the Lord from the earth, Ye dragons, and all deeps:

Beasts and all cattle;

Creeping things and flying fowl: Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth :

Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children:

Let them praise the name of the Lord;
For his name alone is exalted :

His glory is above the earth and
heaven.

And he hath lifted up the

people,

He hath made a decree which shall The praise of all his saints;
