HYMN 43. 8 lines 8's.

Rejoicing and Praise.

1 A fountain of life and of grace,
In Christ our Redeemer we see,
For us, who his offers embrace;
For all, it is open and free :
Jehovah himself doth invite

To drink of his pleasures unknown ;
The streams of immortal delight,
That flow from his heavenly throne.

2 As soon as in him we believe,

By faith of his Spirit we take ;

And freely forgiven, receive
The mercy for Jesus's sake.
We gain a pure drop of his love;
The life of eternity know;
Angelical happiness prove,

And witness a heaven below.

HYMN 44. 8 lines 8's.

Rejoicing and Praise.

1 How tedious and tasteless the hours, When Jesus no longer I see ;

Sweet prospects, sweet birds, and sweet flowers,

Have all lost their sweetness to me :

The midsummer sun shines but dim,

The fields strive in vain to look gay;

But when I am happy in him,

December's as pleasant as May.

2 His name yields the richest perfume,
And sweeter than music his voice :

His presence disperses my gloom,
And makes all within me rejoice;
I should, were he always thus nigh,
Have nothing to wish or to fear,
No mortal so happy as I,

My summer would last all the year.

4 A on sa yets ha nik o ni,
Yah o ya te ka yen she gon;
Ne neh a yets hah nih se ke
Ji ni ya go don ha he re:
Sa ni gonh ri yo hak n'o nenh,
Enh sad kah tho ra gonh son te;
N'o nenh e tho en jo dyeh te,
Yah ten tha ta on sont te ni.

5 Tenh non ken tho te sek te ni,
Ji ni wa ge ni gonh ro ten;
Ne ak te ji ni wa gye ren,
Ne enh ske we yea nen ta ne:
To kat ne Ye sus e tho ne,
A on sa ha gwa thon dats he,
Go no ronh kwa O Sa ya ner
To gens ke on we a gen hak.
6 A ge rah kwa te yoh swat he,
Ten se wa de ron yoh tar ho;
Ne ne a ge ni gon ra gon;
Oh se ra gon t'wa ga ga ras,

Ne o we ra en yo to ri;

Ne ots ha ta o gon ni ih,

Ne na wa gad ren hos tea nihs,

O ji tenr ne a gwa don hets.

TEYERIHWAHKWATHA 45. C. M.

A dat ne go ser hon.

1 Ye ya ta no ron O ri te,

Ne ne e ne genh ji,

Ni tya we non oh ne ka nohs,
En je no ha re te.

3 Content with beholding his face,
My all to his pleasure resigned,
No changes of season or place
Would make any change in my mind;
While blessed with a sense of his love,
A palace a toy would appear;
And prisons would palaces prove,

If Jesus would dwell with me there.

4 Dear Lord, if indeed I am thine, If thou art my sun and my song, Say, why do I languish and pine,

And why are my winters so long? O drive these dark clouds from my sky, Thy soul-cheering presence restore; Or take me to thee up on high,

Where winter and clouds are no more.

HYMN 45. C. M.

Baptism.

1 Celestial Dove, descend from high,

And on the water brood:

Come, with thy quickening power apply The water and the blood.
