8 The Lord abounds with tender love,
And unexampled acts of grace;
His weaken'd wrath does slowly move,
His willing mercy flows apace.

W

Psalm 117.

ITH cheerful notes let all the earth
To heaven their voices raise;
Let all, inspir'd with godly mirth,
Sing solemn hymns of praise.

2 God's tender mercy knows no bound,
His truth shall ne'er decay,
Then let the willing nations round
Their grateful tribute pay.

Psalm 134.

LESS God, ye servants that attend

B Upon his solemn state:

That in his temple, night by night,
With humble reverence wait.

2 Within this house lift up your hands
And bless his holy name.

From Sion bless thy Israel, Lord,

Who heaven and earth did frame.

Hymn 1. C. M.

FOR a thousand tongues to sing
My great REDEEMER's praise!
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of his grace!

2 My gracious Master and my GOD,
Assist me to proclaim,

To spread through all the earth abroad
The honors of thy Name.

3 JESUS! the Name that charms our fears,
That bids our sorrows cease;
'Tis music in the sinner's ears,
"Tis life, and health and peace.

4 He breaks the power of cancell❜d sin,
He sets the prisoner free;

His blood can make the foulest clean;
His blood avail'd for me.

5 He speaks-and listening to his voice,
New life the dead receive:

The mournful, broken hearts rejoice;
The humble poor believe.

6 Hear him, ye deaf! his praise, ye dumb, Your loosen'd tongues employ!

SAVIOUR Come,

And leap, ye lame, for joy!

Hymn 2. C. M.

YOME, HOLY SPIRIT! heavenly Dove!
With all thy quick'ning powers;

Kindle a flame of sacred love

In these cold hearts of ours.

2 Look how we grovel here below,
Fond of these earthly toys;
Our souls how heavily they go,
To reach eternal joys!

3 In vain we tune our formal songs,
In vain we strive to rise;
Hossannas languish on our tongues,
And our devotion dies.

4 FATHER! and shall we ever live
At this poor dying rate?
Our love so faint, so cold to thee,
And thine to us so great?

5 Come HOLY SPIRIT, heavenly Dove,
With all thy quick'ning powers;
Come, shed abroad a SAVIOUR's love,
And that shall kindle ours.

Hymn 3. C. M.

ATHER, I stretch my hands to thee,
No other help I know;
