DEDICATION Believing that our political organizations have become machines which register the opinions and interests of the few, and that they have drifted far from the principles upon which our Commonwealth is founded, I have dedicated this compilation to the success of the man who stands most free from party reins and strives to do his duty as he sees it-who in his ideals follows nearer the rugged lines of Jeffersonian Democracy than many of its boasted adherents-and to the success of these principles and of Charles E. Hughes, Governor of New York, this work is respectfully dedicated. BENJAMIN S. CATCHINGS. |
