Should the explanatory outline of the System as herein set forth, founded upon the First Chapter of Genesis, upon nature and the evidence of the senses, lead to, and establish more fully the knowledge of the True— the praise must be ascribed to Him who formed the material Universe out of created vapour or water, by the utterance of His holy Word; the breath and influence of the Spirit or Wisdom of which, fruitfully produces, and tempers, for all purposes, with all diversities of virtueswhilst Her power sustaining the vast and wonderful Fabric, regulates, resuscitates and adorns it, from generation to generation;-who is clothed with transcendent and inconceivable glory, of which the Sun is an emblem, and the Moon and Stars the representative recipients: -beneath whose feet are all the powers of darkness;and, as our Saviour (who of God is made unto us Wisdom) said, "Wisdom is justified of Her children :" so, we find it also written that, "She shall be called, The Lord our Righteousnes."*

In the Ecclesiasticus it is said, "The Word of God most High is the fountain of Wisdom; and Her ways are everlasting commandments. She is with all flesh according to His gift, and He hath given Her to them that love Him: and, again, that "She alone compassed the circuit of Heaven, and walked in the bottom of the deep. In the waters of the Sea, and in all the Earth, and in every people and nation She got a possession.
