Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1862, by

TREADWELL WALDEN,

in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the District of Connecticut.

KIVERSIDE, CAMBRIDGE:
STEREOTYPED AND PRINTED BY H. O. HOUGHTON.

RECOMMENDATIONS OF BISHOPS.

WE have examined, with a good deal of care, the Sunday-School Prayer-Book of the Rev. Mr. Walden. It seems to us eminently calculated to cultivate, in the young, a knowledge and love of the truth as it is in Jesus, and also liturgical tastes and habits, and to train them to enter early into an appreciation and practical use of the Book of Common Prayer, the spirit of which it has thoroughly imbibed. We are happy to anticipate for it a wide and growing usefulness, and give it very cordially our approval.

JOHN WILLIAMS,

Bishop of Connecticut.

JOSEPH C. TALBOT,

Assistant Bishop of Indiana.

B. B. SMITH,

Bishop of the Prot. Ep. Church in the Diocese of Kentucky.

Bishop of the Prot. Ep. Church in the Diocese of Delaware.
